Scholarships for Local Students
Abbey College Cambridge offers a number of scholarships to local students for entry to the college.
For entry at 13+ (into Year 9) awards of up to 100% will be awarded to students who stand out on our assessment day.
Scholarships for entry into other year groups are generally worth up to 20% discount from tuition fees and the amount awarded is dependent upon performance in our Scholarship Assessment.
The number and value of the awards made each year depend on the quality of the candidates. Scholarships are available to all applicants applying to join the college. All candidates wishing to be considered for a scholarship must have already submitted an application form to join the college before making an application for a scholarship.
Assessment for scholarships for Year 9 will be made at our scholarship assessment day. All applicants will spend the assessment day together and will be asked to complete various tasks, sit a Maths and English paper, and sit an interview with the college Principal and academic panel. Students will also be asked to answer an essay question before the scholarship day for consideration on the day. The assessment day is designed to be an enriching and enjoyable day that allows the students to get to know the college, and allows us to get to know our potential students better.

How to apply
Our Year 9 scholarship assesments have now taken place, but we do still have some scholarships for other year groups.
These scholarships are only available to students who have a UK passport/leave to remain in the UK and live within the local Cambridge area.
International students wishing to be considered for a scholarship should apply via the International Admissions Team.
