Classes average 10 students, with a maximum class size of 14. Classrooms are designed to be light, airy and comfortable. Each classroom features a large interactive teaching screen. In each classroom 2-3 walls are painted with a special whiteboard paint which enables students and teachers to write on the walls!
In all of our 42 classrooms, class sizes are small and the teaching is highly personalised. The latest interactive teaching technology enables students to participate fully in classes, discuss, debate, and ask questions.
All of our Science subjects are taught in laboratories. We have 5 Physics labs, 4 Biology labs, and 3 Chemistry Labs. Classes are practically focused, with students able to conduct experiments individually or in small groups supervised by teachers. Dedicated laboratory technicians ensure that students have all the equipment they need to conduct practical experiments.
In our 12 specialist scientific laboratories, the focus is on the practical application of scientific theories through experiments.
We offer two dedicated studios for students studying GCSE and A Level Art & Design. Art studios are able to work with a wide range of materials and mediums. Art Students are able to work on their portfolios outside of class time.
All meals are served in our on-campus dining room.
Meals are served by a team of experienced and skilled chefs in our spacious, airy dining room. There is always a range of freshly cooked options, ranging from familiar tastes of home to exotic global cuisine and European and British favourites. Our fair trade coffee bar offers a range of hot and cold drinks and healthy snacks throughout the day.
Weekly assemblies take place in the Hall. The Hall can be converted to accommodate sports such as Badminton. The Hall hosts regular college events such as music concerts.
Our Hall is a multi-purpose space that hosts clubs, sports, fitness classes, concerts, movie nights, assemblies and exams.
Our Library provides a quiet space for students to study and revise. The common room is a place for students to relax and socialise. Our courtyard provides a secure outdoor space for students. Our two music studios allow students to rehearse and take music lessons. Students can play basketball during breaks on our outdoor court. Each student has their own locker to store textbooks and personal items between lessons.
Outside of class, you can relax in libraries and spacious communal study and social areas. There is Wifi access throughout the school.
