Studying A-Level Computer Science allows you to study topics including information representation, communication and Internet technologies, hardware, software development, and relational database modelling. You’ll also be able to appreciate the ethical issues that arise with current and emerging computing technologies.
Computer Science is a very large subject with lots of applications. Computer scientists design new software, solve computing problems and develop different ways to use technology.
Computer Science is the study of computers and computing, including their theoretical and algorithmic foundations, hardware and software, and their uses for processing information. The discipline of Computer Science includes the study of algorithms and data structures, computer and network design, modelling data and information processes, and artificial intelligence.
Computer Science is applied to a wide range of disciplines that include modelling simulations such as the impacts of climate change and the Ebola virus, creating art and visualization through graphics rendering, and simulating a human interface through artificial intelligence and machine learning.
We follow the AQA specification for this subject.
