Abbey College Cambridge International Foundation Programme students have achieved a record overall average score of 77% across all four of our foundation pathways in 2021.
This incredible achievement represents the highest average score ever achieved by one of our foundation cohorts, and sets our students to progress to a wide range of top-ranked UK universities in September 2021.
These fantastic results mean that 65% of this years foundation class have now met the academic conditions of their offers to study at top-ranked Russell Group universities.
Head of Foundation Programme Neil McKenzie commented on the students success; “Many congratulations to the International Foundation Programme class of 2021 on a set of amazing results. Even with all the challenges they have faced over the last year, the overall results show an improvement on last year’s results, a great testament to the hard work of the students and dedication of the staff in supporting them through these unprecedented times. Well done to everyone and I look forward to continuing to achieve great results with the class of 2022!.”

Results highlights included an overall average score of 78% amongst our Humanities and Medicine Pathway students, followed closely by Engineering students (77% average score) and Business Management and Economics students (75% average score).
Every passing year sees more of our foundation students progressing on to top ranked universities. In 2020, 56% of our foundation students progressed to Russell Group university, and this year the number moving on to Russell Group looks set to be even higher.
