Our students recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to Homerton College for a conversation with Laurel Rapp, Director of the US & North America Programme at Chatham House. With nearly two decades of experience across the US Department of State, National Security Council, and US Senate, Laurel shared powerful insights into global strategy and diplomacy.
We were especially impressed by our Year 9 students - Gasparik, Amber, Charles, and Arthur - who asked thoughtful and confident questions throughout the event.🤝

Our A Level Geography students had an incredible day of fieldwork in Epping Forest!
The morning began with an introduction to the Centre and a carbon‑cycle activity before heading into the forest to investigate carbon in trees and measure how much they’ve sequestered. 🌿
In the afternoon, students explored the water cycle through storm simulations, infiltration tests, geology investigations and leaf‑drip measurements. They also completed field sketches of the woodland ecosystem - and even found a few toads and newts under the logs! 🐸🌧
A fantastic day of Geography learning brought to life.
